If your child (or your child's teacher) indicates vision problems, we recommend scheduling an eye exam appointment with an eye doctor immediately. US Vision's associated independent Doctors of Optometry * typically see children as young as 4 or 5 years old. If a vision problem is detected, you want to ensure that your child will get the maximum vision correction from their glasses and be safe while wearing them. US Vision will only fill prescriptions for children with Polycarbonate - Shatter Resistant lenses (and we make it affordable to do so - ask one of our eyecare professionals about our KID'S EYEWEAR PACKAGES! )

US Vision carries a selection of both metal and plastic frames, in both traditional and fashion styles. When selecting a frame for (with) your child, please ensure that:

• The temple is long enough to fit behind their ears.
• If selecting a metal frame with nose pads, that they can be adjusted to fit your child’s nose and to prevent the frame from slipping down their nose.
• There is plenty of room between the frame front (lenses) and their eyes to allow for good air circulation.
• The hinges are secure and flexible (spring hinges are recommended).
